Miles and Adventures
Our Story
Our programs have evolved over the years, as we have invested time and resources into our exploration of ideal itineraries.
This timeline takes you through our 30 years of thrilling experiences.
At South Expeditions, we know that you are looking for a specific kind of trip. Our team of expert Personal Travel Advisors — based in Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands and Chile — is founded on a deep understanding of the value of private and customized travel, and what that means to you. We are trained to understand and meet the unique needs of our travelers through the seamless execution of travel plans.
That’s why the services we offer are similar to what you would expect from a private bank; we build a relationship with you to ensure that your investment is met with the unparalleled wealth of the memories made on your trip.
Local experience is necessary to successfully navigate a country. Our team of experts and local guides have it figured out.
We carefully scout all our locations before crafting our itineraries.
Our staff has received first-aid training and is prepared to adjust plans if necessary to prioritize travelers' safety.
Being outdoors is our passion, so we will go above and beyond to make your trip memorable.
Our local operation lets us charge a fair price, with no intermediaries or middleman charges.
A travel advisor can help you book exactly what you need depending on your traveling style and expectations.
Our tour leaders know each destination by heart. They will give you details and tips to enhance your experience.
Our guides and Tour Leaders are prepared for emergency situations that involve prolonged patient care, severe environments, and improvised equipment. Wilderness Advanced First Aid is comprehensive medical training designed for remote professionals or wilderness leaders who venture into remote and challenging environments. This course teaches them to manage medical emergencies when hospitals and rescue services may not be available for an extensive time period.
